Pci Root Complex Driver
Pci Express Root Complex Driver Windows 10 Dell
I recently purchased a USB 3.0 pcie card to use on my Asus Rampage formula x48 but currently having no luck.
I have connected the card directly to my PSU using the 15pin sata to molex connection.
The drivers install and come up in device manager as 'Renesas USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.0 (Microsoft)' but when I connect anything to the USB ports, the device that is connected is not recognised.
I have just tested it again with my USB stick and when connected to my normal USB ports it is detected fine but when connected to the pcie card it comes up as 'Unknown USB device'.
I have tried putting the card into various slots to no avail. Am I doing something wrong or is the pcie card simply not compatible with my motherboard?
Any suggestion and advice would be greatly appreciated!
