I'm currently trying to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 on my PC and I keep running into the same error. At what I assume is the very end of the installation (judging from the progress bar it must be) the installation will just stop progressing alltogether and I'll eventually cancel it.

What I've tried so far:
- Uninstalling and reinstalling repeatedly.
- Uninstalling and reinstalling any other instances and versions of Visual C++ Redistributable in any order (older versions first, newer versions first, nothing but 2015, etc)
- Installing it after performing a clean boot, which didn't change the result at all.
- Scanned the system with System File Checker (which didn't find anything to resolve).
It should be noted that if I try to install it again right after a failed installation, it won't give me the option to install, but to either repair or uninstall. If I try to choose Repair, it'll get stuck at a similar point as with the regular installation:
After about a minute of being stuck, it'll eventually come up with an error of its own, the error code being 0c8024001e Unknown Error.
